TESTIMONIALS
When the time comes to explore eldercare options for yourself or a family member, a call to Senior Steps is a smart move. Unlike most of us, Certified Geriatric Care Manager Carolyn Walsh is an expert at navigating sensitive and sometimes challenging transitions and implementing solutions that work for
everyone involved. Thanks to her broad and deep experience in the fields of geriatric care, healthcare, and education, Carolyn is uniquely suited to deal with all kinds of stakeholders, including clients and their families, medical staff, attorneys, bankers, and building managers. Whether Carolyn is defusing a full-blown crisis or managing tedious yet necessary tasks, clients and their families can feel confident their case is in good hands.
In our case, an isolated out-of-town relative struggling with unacknowledged dementia resisted – but urgently needed – additional help. Carolyn was able to assess the situation quickly and come up with a concrete plan. Thanks to her able team and network of trusted and vetted providers, she was able to implement much-needed assistance while respecting the concerns of our relative. When his situation deteriorated, Carolyn seamlessly moved to help us navigate hospital, rehab, and hospice care. Even after he passed away, the Senior Steps team continued to help us deal with the practical matters that needed to be taken care of. We truly can’t imagine how we could have dealt with this rapidly evolving situation from across the country without Carolyn’s wise, practical, and seasoned guidance and hands-on problem solving.

Senior Steps helped me out tremendously with my mother over a period of time with three different moves and transitions. They were always available to address and manage all of my mother's needs. I live out of state and was unable to assist her. I knew my mother was in such great hands with Senior Steps. When her time came, my mother was surrounded by people who had come to know and love her through the great care of Senior Steps.

I want to take the opportunity to thank you for helping families navigate the very difficult waters of health care. Our most recet family needed a lot of support. You were caring, compassionate and helpful. There were a lot of pieces to the puzzle but because you were involved, the process was seamless. You were there for the family and for us.
I will absolutely recommend Senior Steps to any family who needs guidance, advocacy, or direction when it comes to their loved one.
Thank you so much for your kindness and sympathy. It did not go unnoticed. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for all that did for our mother. You went so far above and beyond and we are all forever in your debt. Getting you on our team was our best move.

I wanted to take a moment and tell you (and anyone you care to share this with) what a great job you've done helping my wife, Theresa. Senior Steps provided the perfect combination of expertise, rapid action, and empathy to get Theresa into the nursing home situation she needed. I had struggled for months to find the right solution for her only to fail, be told “there are no beds”, or “we aren't equipped to handle advanced Alzheimer's cases”. We contacted over thirty places claiming they handled memory care but what they meant was memory care that's not "too difficult."
Within 24 hours of contracting with Senior Steps, Theresa was in a Geriatric Psych facility. Within 3 weeks she was in the perfect nursing home where she now resides – happy and content. And, now they visit Theresa regularly and send reports of her care with details I'd never know to ask.
In my opinion, no one should try to figure this out alone. An organization like Senior Steps knows the ropes, the pitfalls, and has contacts. They're just better.
